NDC and Net Impact UCLA Study Report on Lending Hand Program

On the anniversary of the year NDC launched its Lending Hand Program, NDC partnered with Net Impact UCLA, a cohort of UCLA undergraduate students, and NDC staff to conduct an internal study of the impact of Lending Hand programs on LMI borrowers. The study, titled “NDC and Net Impact UCLA Study Report: Lending Hand Program as a Pivotal Vehicle for Financial Growth for Low Income and Minority Communities in California,” primarily focused on consumer and small business loans closed from July 2025 to May 2026 and examined whether the lending program benefits low-income borrowers more than traditional bank loans and provides a pathway for them to integrate into the traditional banking system. 9 (nine) undergraduate research students majoring in economics Net Impact UCLA under the supervision of Mr. Jeronathon Angeles (Loan Officer, NDC) and Fnu Adhil (Chief Legal Officer, NDC) carried out this research project.

In conclusion, the study found that NDC’s lending program saves low-income borrowers money compared with taking similar loans from the market, without compromising the financial soundness or underwriting of the loans.
